Nicolaitanism

Yahusha HATES the Nicolaitan System

Yahusha speaking to the Assembly of Ephesos -

Revelation 2: 4 “But I hold this against you, that you have left your first love.

5 “So remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I shall come to you speedily and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

6 “Yet this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaites, which I also hate”.

Yahusha speaking to the Assembly in Pergamos -

Revelation 2: 14 “But I have a few matters against you, because you have there those who adhere to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block before the children of Yisrael, to eat food offered to idols, and to commit whoring.

15 “So you also have those to adhere to the teaching of the Nicolaites which teaching I hate”.

The Nicolaitan system sets us up for domination by others where we accept their views and instructions on all aspects of our lives, including how to worship Yahuah our Elohim.

It puts the family under another man’s authority other than the husband/father.

It makes the father, who has authority and responsibility from Yahuah our Elohim, subservient to another man. He will have to answer to the Creator for the consequences to his wife and children.

A woman does not have any other man’s authority over her who is not of her household. It is her man, father first then husband, who is given the care and responsibility for her welfare. Her father hands over that authority and responsibility to her husband when a couple marry.

A man’s children cannot be put under the authority of another man to dictate their thoughts and actions. The father is responsible for their welfare in all aspects of life.

The authority and responsibility set up by our Creator is as follows:

Yahuah our Elohim

Yahusha His Son

The husband/father

His wife

The children of the family

The religious world is rife with Nicolaitanism as seen in its fullness in the churches where there is always a hierarchial system with one man set up as the head of the organisation, usually resplendent in a costume or regalia which identifies him as “the great leader” and below him are men in positions of decreasing power until we get down to the ordinary people at the bottom of the pecking order. By this stage they have a plethora of “bosses” which, in the family unit, strips a husband/father of his rightful role as the authority/protector of his own wife and children. Then at the lowest rung of the ladder, the laity with a multitude of people and authority figures placed between them and their Messiah Yahusha.

There are also titles assumed by the leaders of Nicolaitan religious organisations which have been forbidden by Yahusha Himself.

Mattityahu (Matt) 23: 4 - 12 “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders, but with their finger they do not wish to move them. And they do all their works to be seen by men, and they make their tefillem wide and lengthen the tzitziyot of their garments, and they love the best places at feasts, and the best seats in the congregations, and the greetings in the market places, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’. But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ for One is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, who is in the heavens. Neither be called leaders, for One is your Leader, the Messiah. But the greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted”.

No one could put it better or plainer than Yahusha our Messiah.

Here is a type of the authority set up by our Heavenly Father when all is fulfilled in His plan -

The Father Elohim

Yahusha His Son, our Redeemer

The Bride

The friends of the Bride (the innumerable multitude)
