What does it mean?
A fresh new look at a prophecy using Scripture as the guide
2 Peter 1: 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation.
Prophecy in Scripture will interpret itself…… if you let it.
Rev 8: 10 The third angel sounded and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters.
11 The name of the star is called wormwood, and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
Wormwood is the common name for the herb of the daisy family, Artemisia absinthium. It is an insidious poison if taken internally. It is a very slow acting and crafty toxin and people affected by it do not realise they are until it is too late and eventually they are overcome by it.
Overdose over time leads to headaches, dizziness, paralysing effect, unconsciousness, coma and death. There is a gradual decline in health until one is completely overcome and dies.
It is a wonderful scriptural analogy of the way that many people are poisoned by man made traditions and teachings so that they eventually succumb to their poison.
What is WORMWOOD according to Scripture?
According to Scripture WORMWOOD is the desire to do away with the Creator's Law (Old Testament) and follow one’s heart instead.
Jeremiah 9: 13 And Yahuah (the Lord) said, “Because they have forsaken my Torah (Law) which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice nor walked according to it,
14 but have walked according to the stubbornness of their own heart and after the Baals, which their fathers had taught them”,
15 therefore thus says Yahuah of Hosts, the Elohim of Israel, “See, I am making this people eat wormwood, and I shall make them drink poisoned water”.
“walked after the Baals” -
“which their fathers taught them” -
Following the traditions of man, as opposed to the Word of the Creator, the Torah, His instructions to His people.
Deut. 29: 18 “.. lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous fruit and wormwood.
19 “and it shall be that when he hears the words of this curse, that he will boast saying, ‘I have peace though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart’ in order to add drunkenness to thirst”.
Deut 29: 25 “Because they have forsaken the Covenant of Yahuah Elohim of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim” (Egypt)
26 And they went and served other mighty ones and bowed themselves to them, mighty ones that they did not know and that He had not given to them. Therefore the displeasure of Yahuah burned against them to bring on them every curse that is written in this book.
So what do Christians teach?
What can be heard from the pulpits of Christian Churches every Sunday?
What is their common doctrine?
1. Jesus abolished the old testament and law.
2. The old testament has been done away with.
3. You don’t have to obey the old testament law any more because Jesus fulfilled it.
So what does the word Fulfil mean?
Fulfil is translated from the Greek word “Pleroo” meaning to “confirm something”. Confirming something does not mean that you are doing away with it. It means that you have acknowledged it as true and correct.
4. That’s the old law, Jesus died so that we don’t have to be under that law anymore.
5. The law was nailed to the cross, now we are saved by grace, no good works needed.
6. We don’t follow those old testament laws anymore; read our church doctrine.
7. If you follow the law, then you must be a Jew. Are you trying to become a Jew?
Matthew 5: 18 For truly I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah (Instructions ) till all be done.
Deut. 6: 25 “And it will be righteousness for us when we guard to do ALL this commandment before Yahuah our Elohim (the Lord our God), just as He commanded us.
8. There is a new covenant since Jesus came, the old covenant law has been abolished.
9. We don’t have to follow all of His commandments only the important ones.
10. If you follow the law, you are cursed by the law.
11. But that’s the old law, Jesus died so we don’t have to follow the law.
1 Peter 1: 25 But the Word of Elohim (the Lord) abides forever. And this is the Word, announced as the Good News to you.
12. I read in the bible we are not supposed to eat pork.
That’s old testament law we don’t have to follow that anymore.
God changed His mind, that is why He sent us Jesus Christ.
13. Aren’t you glad God changed His mind and did away with the Law.
1 Samuel 15: 29 The Elohim of Israel does not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that he should change His mind.
Malachi 3: 6 For I am Yahuah, I shall not change...
14. In the old testament God wanted us to follow His rules, Now He just wants us to accept His grace. Amen.
15. We are not justified by works. Are you trying to earn your salvation?
16. I don’t need to keep all of those old laws and commandments, because I know Jesus now.
1 John 2: 3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commandments.
4 The one who says, “I know Him” and does not guard His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
17. Look, I know God and He knows me, He knows what’s in my heart, and that’s all that matters.
18. Father, I ask that you be with us and save us, in the name of Jesus.
Proverbs 28: 9 He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer is an abomination.
19. Father we pray and ask for your blessing on our new brothers and sisters that have been saved by your grace.
The cell phone that you are trying to reach is unavailable, please try again later.
“But have walked after the stubbornness of their heart”
20. It’s up to us to determine what is right and wrong, in our hearts.
21. Let your heart lead you to salvation through grace.
Jeremiah 17: 9 The heart is crooked above all and desperately sick. Who shall know it?
22. Let your heart lead you. I listen to my heart.
23. I follow my heart and I have a heart for Jesus.
24. Jesus will put salvation into your heart, so follow your heart.
Proverbs 28: 26 He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely is delivered.
25. It’s the intention of your heart that matters, let Jesus come into your heart and you will be saved.
26. Can’t you feel Jesus tugging on your heart.
Genesis 8: 21 …for the inclination of man’s heart is evil from his youth.
Asking Jesus into your heart for Salvation is NEVER mentioned in Scripture.
28. I have a heart, and my heart is for Jesus.
27. All we need is a personal relationship with Jesus, we just need faith in Him.
28. I have Jesus in my heart.
Now we'll go back to Revelation 8 : 11 again
If a Third of the Waters were infected with Wormwood
then what are the WATERS according to Scripture?
Rev 17: 15 And he said to me,
“The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues”.
Rev 8: 11 …a third of the waters, became wormwood…
World Population: 6.9 Billion
Christian Population: 2.3 Billion
Approximately 33% or a Third of the population.
Amen, Hallelujah, Praise Yahuah Elohim the Creator and Giver of Life
Matthew 5: 18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.”
19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.
20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens”.
Matthew 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to Me 'Master, Master', shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens.
22 “Many shall say to Me in that day, 'Master, Master, have we not prophesied in your name, and cast out demons in your name and done many mighty works in your name'?
23 “And then I shall declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness”.
A prophecy of Isaiah that goes right to the heart of the matter of wormwood.
Isaiah 1:13 “Stop bringing futile offerings, incense, it is an abomination to Me, new moons, sabbaths, the calling of meetings. I am unable to bear unrighteousness and assembly.
14 My being hates your new moons and your appointed times, they are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.
15 And when you spread out your hands, I hide My eyes from you, even though you make many prayers, I do not hear. Your hands have become filled with blood.
16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil!
17 Learn to do good! Seek right ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow”.
18 “Come now and let us reason together”, says Yahuah, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If you submit and obey, you shall eat the good of the land,
20 but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword”, for the mouth of Yahuah has spoken.
In verses 13 and 14 Yahuah names the things which he finds abominable.
New Moons The observance of looking for the first sliver of the new moon each month, instead of the dark moon when the earth, moon and sun are in conjunction, has been adopted in defiance of His instructions. Counting in this way throws the Hebrew calendar out by one to three days, thus delaying all of the Feasts and Appointed Times by that number of days.
Sabbaths The true Sabbath or seventh day of the week has been altered to the first day of the week or Sunday to fit in with pagan sungod worship. The Sabbath is a day of rest for people and working animals, not a day to hold meetings.
Assembly Yahuah says He is unable to bear the assembling or meeting of people who are disobeying Him by worshipping pagan gods and deceiving themselves that they are doing it for Him.
Appointed Times An account of the way that the appointed times have been altered is given under the heading of Substitution
The Feasts of Yahuah which he instituted and commanded His people to follow are as follows:
This Feast is a remembrance of the time the angel of death passed over the firstborn of mankind and animals in Mitsrayim (Egypt) causing the Pharaoh at last to let the enslaved Hebrew people go. The Hebrews were instructed to kill a male lamb of the first year and were to roast and eat it with bitter herbs and unleavened bread before setting out for their new land. The blood of the lamb was to be painted over the doorposts and lintels of their homes. The angel of death passed by those Israelite dwellings covered by the blood of the lamb. It is of course a rehearsal of the time when His people would be covered and protected by the blood of the Lamb of Yahuah, His Son.
Christianity has done away with Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread and replaced them with a Feast time honouring the fertility goddess Ishtar. This has given rise to the time known as Easter with its bunnies, eggs, hot cross buns all of which are man's tradition and disobedience towards His Creator. One branch of christianity to this day colours their easter eggs blood red. I am sure they would be horrified to know that this was originally done by dipping the eggs in the blood of sacrificed infants.
The Feast of Shavuot or Weeks
The time of this Feast is determined by counting seven weeks plus one day from the day of offering the First Fruits sacrifice during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Yahusha was the First Fruits from the dead when He rose after being in the tomb three days and three nights, and He presented Himself to His Father before revealing Himself to His disciples.
The Feast of Shavuot every year commemorated the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and I believe that the giving of the Ruach heQodesh (Holy Spirit) took place at the same time as the giving of the Ten Commandments. The disciples, family and friends of Yahusha were keeping the Feast of Shavuot in the temple when the “rushing mighty wind” swirled in and tongues of fire separated and filled each one of them with the Spirit which would enable them to keep the Torah of Yahuah. It was written on their hearts with His finger, just as it was written on the tablets of stone long ago.
This is the time which christianity claims is the beginning of the Church (goddess Circe). By this substitution the Torah of Yahuah was supposedly done away with and His Son was said to replace it with a whole different system known as the Church. This means, if you believe it, that the Son of the Creator saw that His Father's plan of salvation was faulty and needed to be changed to the new idea of “Salvation by Grace”. The rot started to set in straight away as men in positions of power decided that they could change the Word of Elohim to their words and ideas all of which lead people straight to the consequences of disobedience of their Creator. They even changed the name of the Son from Yahusha (Yah is Salvation) to the made up name of Jesus, which is a study in itself.
The Feast of Tabernacles
This Feast falls in the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar which is September or October in the gregorian calendar. This is the time when the Saviour Yahusha was born in Beth Lechem in the cave where the temple sacrifice lambs were born. Most of the lambs were born in the fields from flocks under the care of shepherds, but any ewe having a difficult birth would be brought to the cave where there was fresh straw, shelter and a feeding trough. It is not a coincidence that the Lamb of Elohim (Yahusha) was born in the cave where the sacrifice lambs were brought into the world. Every year for hundreds of years the chief priest selected a perfect male lamb and it was brought in procession to the temple to be sacrificed for the sins of the people.
The fulfilment of this Feast is still to come when Yahusha returns to tabernacle with His people.
This one is known all over the world as Christmas. It is falsely claimed to be the time of the birth of the Saviour but is really the time of the winter solstice and honours the birth of Tammuz, son of Nimrod. It was a time of sacrificing the lives of infants to appease the sungod which was worshipped. The sun in the northern parts disappeared and the people thought it had to be coaxed back to give life to the earth, so it was acceptable to sacrifice babies to appease Sol Invictus Mithra, the Sungod. This substitute is a death dealing abomination to those who follow it.
