“My” Sabbaths and Feasts or
“Your” sabbaths and feasts
The True Sabbaths and Feasts of Yahuah or the false man-
The Feasts and Sabbaths of Yahuah were given to Moshe (Moses) on Mt Sinai in Arabia around the year 1485 BCE. He gave instructions to the Yisraelites on how and when they were to be kept after He had spoken to Moshe and given him the Ten Commandments. He then continued on with various instructions and ordinances for them to obey and these included the Feasts, Sabbaths and New Moons.
Yahuah first instituted the Sabbaths in Shemoth (Exodus) 31:13 when He said “My Sabbaths you are to guard by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations to know that I, Yahuah am setting you apart. You shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-

Chapter 23 of Wayyiqra (Leviticus) is a very important chapter as it explains the Appointed times of Yahuah for Yisraelites to follow. He outlined the keeping of the Sabbath and all of the Appointed Times which included the Passover and the 7 day Feast of Unleavened Bread with the Waving of the First Fruits Offering all in the first Hebrew month.
This is followed 50 days later by the single day Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) and four months after that in the Seventh Hebrew month all of the important days which included The Blowing of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the 7 day Feast of Tabernacles followed by The Last Great Day.
By following these instructions all Yisrael would receive a great blessing from Yahuah.
The first and last days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread are Rest days, as are the first and last days of the Feast of Tabernacles, and also the Day of Atonement, the Last Great Day and the Feast of Shavuot, all very special days for Yahuah and His people. Most of the Feasts were “rehearsals” for events which were to happen in the future which would lead to the salvation of mankind. The Feast of Shavuot commemorated the giving of the Torah or instructions on Mt Sinai and much later this was the day on which the Holy Spirit was poured out on believers after the resurrection of Yahusha the Messiah.
It is wrongly believed by some people that there are scriptures indicative of Yahuah doing away with His former Feast Days and Sabbaths and showing the children of Yisrael a different way. They use these scriptures to back up their claim that the “old” laws and instructions were superseded by the “new” ones brought in by His Son, Yahusha the Messiah.
The most basic reason that this assumption has to be wrong is that we are talking about the Omnipotent Creator of all things who does not have to say “Oops, I got it wrong, folks. My Son will fix it up”. No, this could not happen. The real story is that mankind in their usual disobedient way thought they could improve on Yahuah’s plan and do it their own way -
In Matthew 5:17 Yahusha said
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets,
I came not to destroy but to complete”.
That is to verify, confirm and fulfil them.
The change from “My Sabbaths and Feasts” to “your sabbaths and feasts” finally reached a point on the downward path where the Roman Emperor Constantine melded “the faith delivered to the Saints” into the Holy Roman Empire and the leader of the resulting organisation became the Pope. Kepha (Peter) was named as the first pope, Miriam the Saviour’s mother became Queen of Heaven, Mediatrix of All Grace, and so on with man-
Now we have the pagan festivals of Christmas, Easter and Halloween which have all replaced the true Feasts of Yahuah and these have become the must-
The following scriptures are examples of Yahuah expressing his wrath to the rebellious people who so readily turned from His perfect instructions to their own polluted ways. We have had the first few of these verses quoted to us by people as examples of Yahuah “doing away with the Old Law” -
Here is the cause of His wrath -
Verses 25 -
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 1: 2-
Verses 13 -
Having castigated them for their idolatry, evil ways and disobedience to His instructions, He goes on to offer a way for them to be reconciled with Him.
Verses 18 -
In the scriptures the obedient children of Yisrael are depicted as the loved wife of the Father. Such a wife enjoys the honour due to her husband’s position and authority.
Also in the scriptures the unfaithful, idolatrous children of Yisrael are depicted as an adulterous wife, bringing dishonour and shame to her husband and family.
Hoshea (Hosea) 2: 10-
All of chapters 1, 2 and 3 tell of an adulterous wife and as He does so often, the Father offers a way out of their evil to the children of Yisrael.
In Proverbs chapter 5 we have an example of the dangers of following the ways devised by mankind which lead to death. Any such belief or gathering of people, however large and seemingly important in the world, is nothing more than unfaithful and idolatrous in the eyes of Yahuah. Only His perfect ways and instructions can lead us to His wisdom and truth.
